Delete your
account

In the app (fastest)

If you can still sign in, this is immediate and needs nothing from us:

1. Open the ScanPlz app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Security.
3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

The account is closed straight away and you are signed out on every device.

By email (if you cannot sign in)

Email [email protected] from the address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”.

We will verify that you control the address before deleting anything — this protects you from someone else closing your account. If you cannot email from that address, tell us and we will agree another way to verify you. We complete verified requests within 30 days, and usually within a few business days.

What gets deleted

• your ScanPlz account and sign-in credentials
• your name, email address and phone number
• your saved profile, preferences and language settings
• your loyalty balances, stamps, points and vouchers
• your saved venues and activity history
• device tokens used for push notifications

What is kept, and why

We would rather say this plainly than have you discover it later.

• Completed orders and payment records are retained by the venue you ordered from, and by us on its behalf, where tax and accounting law requires it. Deleting your ScanPlz account does not erase a venue’s financial records of a transaction.
• Feedback and reviews you left are unlinked from you and kept in anonymous, aggregated form, so a venue’s historical ratings do not silently change.
• Anonymous, non-identifying analytics already aggregated into counts cannot be attributed back to you and is not separable per person.

Nothing retained above identifies you once the account is gone.

No account?

If you only scanned a QR code and never signed in, there is no account to delete — see Delete your data, which covers the anonymous session identifier and the data attached to it.
